Happy Friday! I’m following up on my previous post sharing my favorite teacher picks for back-to-school shopping while browsing the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Today was my “access” day being a cardholder and I was able to snag 5 out of the 7 items I had saved on my wishlist 🙂 Some things just sell out faster than you would think!
I’ve had a few questions about shopping the sale and what I typically buy or debate buying so I thought I would share it below 🙂
Items I usually buy every year:
a new pair of Zella leggings
a new pair of sneakers
a new pair of booties
a pair of jeans (typically dark, but whatever I need a new pair of)
a jacket (if it’s a good deal)
This year I didn’t buy a new pair of leggings or jacket. To this day, a lot of my clothing is in storage on the mainland. Mainland… I live on an island and that’s what we refer to it as, ha! Or town. Anyways, I’ve tried not to stock up on items I don’t need but because I moved home during the fall/winter, I had to buy a few jackets and leggings… making these purchases not applicable this year 🙂
Items I actually bought this year:
The only item that’s shocking here is the pillow, ha. I’ve never bought any home products during the sale but… it matches the theme in my room nicely and I don’t have a single throw pillow. I purchase sneakers of some sort every year because of the wear that happens within each year– on tennis shoes and sneakers. While I usually buy sneakers, I’ve done a lot of running and needed some running shoes.
Items I already own and use daily that are included in the sale:
olaplaex system | mac fix + | Kate Somerville DermaQuench | PMD Facial Cleanser
I’ve been working on a haircare post that should be going live sometime next week. This summer, especially sense it’s been so hot, I decided to try Kate Somerville’s Dermaquench spray and you all… it’s AMAZING. It has made such a difference in the hydration levels of my skin. I’ve been using the PMD facial cleanser since November of 2019 and can’t believe I went so long without one. It’s definitely worth it.
What have you been eyeing during the sale? Share in the comments 🙂
