Sometimes I’m lying on my classroom floor, after a really long day, and all of a sudden I get an event reminder for the next day… sometimes it’s things I need to do actual work for and other times it’s “oh snap! I need an outfit for that… what am I going to wear?” To be honest, when my teacher brain has too many tabs left open from the day, it’s so hard for me to figure out what to wear, let alone remember all the other details of one’s life like what to make for dinner and even to drink water. If your too many teacher tabs open brain works similar like mine, here are 3 outfit ideas for those last minute reminders that tell us we have something important we need to dress for.
Meet the Teacher Night
blazer (x-small) | t-shirt (x-small) | jeans (0 short) | shoes (7.5, true to size) | necklace
Chic + casual. Pair any blazer with a pair of dark denim for instant professionalism, yet down to earthness. Sometimes it’s hard to straddle the line between looking like the teacher and being personable to your families… all while staying true to your teacher style self. This blazer from maurices is only $29.90 and I’m basically obsessed.
Curriculum Night
t-shirt (x-small) | pants (x-small, short) | shoes (7.5)
Comfortable and classy dress pants for days. I’ve been lovin’ the bengaline for quite some time now (shared my old pair here!). Pair your favorite pair of dress pants with an everyday versatile tee for a simple and sophisticated look. I wore open-toed booties with this outfit but pointy-toed flats were a close second place for shoe choice 🙂
Back-to-school BBQ
dress (x-small) | shoes (7.5) | earrings
Maurices has allll the cute fall dresses right now. I’m low key excited that paisley print is starting to comeback in. The last time I wore something paisley was in 2017… and that’s only because I haven’t seen the pattern in that long. Dresses that can be worn straight from the classroom to a casual back-to-school event are almost tied with dresses with pockets in my book. Ah!
Which speaking of pockets… the things I’ve been finding in my mine at the end of each day are out of this world lol… my students have very unique senses of humor and I’m loving every second of it. This week is going to be our first five day week and my energy stamina is slacking tremendously. I’m really ready to get back in the routine of things.
How are your classes this year? How are things going? Looking forward to continuing this journey with everyone.
