If you’re a person that can handle slightly delayed gratification, shopping at shein is the best thing since sliced bread. The majority of cute clothing found on amazon can also be found on shein. Given, it doesn’t have two-day prime shipping… but it’s typically between the 20-30% cheaper range. No joke. And with express shipping on shein, the pressed purchase to doorstep time frame is about 8-9 days.
eyelet dress | x-small | true to size
I’ve done two fall/winter orders and just had my first spring order arrive. Almost all my fall/winter dresses this year have been from shein. The average price is $18 dollars and almost all of them I’ve worn more than once. I’m fully getting my money’s worth. The shein ordering experience has changed over the last couple of years– it’s way better now. However, ordering from them still raises a ton of questions. Luckily, I’ve learned a lot about ordering from them last summer/this fall… which has helped me answer a lot of questions you all have asked. The most common question I’ve received this summer? Any tips when ordering from Shein? At first, I didn’t but now… I do and here they are!
5 tips for shopping on shein.com
tip 1: get a gist of your waist and bust measurements. This will drastically help decision making. Every single product has different sizing. EVERY. SINGLE. PIECE. It get’s complicated.
tip 2: filter by your typical size. I filter by x-small. Otherwise there can be 20 pages in daily new arrivals you will have to sort through.
tip 3: scan size to see if the measurements for your size are approximate to your waist and bust measurements. I’ve found the clothing fits best if it’s within 1-2 inches of my gists. Sometimes I’m an x-small and sometimes I’m a small. Each item of clothing has different size measurements. Which is bananas… by all the more reason it’s important to look.
tip 4: scroll down and look at the pictures people who have purchased have posted This doesn’t work if you’re shopping the new arrivals sections… but for every thing outside the 7 days of new arrivals, there will most likely be pictures. This will help you gather more info on the fit AND quality of the pieces.
tip 4: if you like it, buy it! They have a surprisingly easy return policy. For the most part, the items look like they do in the picture. The quality is still hit or miss. That’s the only kicker. I end up returning about 30% of my orders due to quality and not size. The other 70% though… the quality in their items have increased sooo much!
Ah! I’ll stop typing and let you all start shopping 🙂 Below are all the wonderful things sitting in my shein “favorites” right now! ENJOY!
And Happy Friday!
