I am 26 hours into winter break and have binge watch this is us, play my new favorite game what do you meme, and celebrate the holidays with all my friends from college (GO DAWGS!) This might be the most socially productive first 24 hours of a break in my entire life… and that includes the binge watching! Usually I’m sick within the first 10 minutes of shooing the adrenaline away. I’ve never needed a break as bad as I need this one and I can’t wait to relax, try a couple pinterest craft projects, attempt to bake, and spend quality time with my friends and family. This is my last fall teacher outfit post before the winter roundups officially begin! Time flies when you’re in constant learning mode.
MONDAY D E T A I L S
Sweater: Similar & under $20 & Similar | Jeans: Here! | Booties: Here! | Earrings: here
Featured Teacher Staple: Black jeans are a teacher wardrobe must-have! They are so easy to dress up or dress down. I am the worst about getting jeans/pants hemmed and I need to with these, but these black jeans from lulus are the best pair I’ve ever owned. They are the perfect amount of stretchy and hold their shape during the day. One thing I’ve noticed about black jeans and some will attract EVERYTHING…. By the end of the day, I realized there wasn’t lint from my sweater scattered everywhere or little hairs… Black jean win!
—> dress it up: make these jeans holiday party ready with this cami, these block heels, & this shaggy faux fur jacket!
TUESDAY D E T A I L S
Top: Similar at Target | Jeans: Gap | Shoes: Toms
Featured Teacher Staple: I’ve owned these Tom’s open toed booties for 4 years and they’re still in great condition. I use to think it was incredibly unprofessional to show your toes at work until I looked around and saw many were wearing sandals– I could totally wear open toed booties. I love that they can be worn during every season and can be won casually with a flannel or on Tie Tuesday with a dress. I also have them in black and really want to invest in another color soon!
—> dress it up: Throw on this under $15 dress for an easy business casual look!
WEDNESDAY D E T A I L S
Top: Old navy | Sweater: Target ($20!) | Joggers: Ariztia; Similar | Shoes: Target; Similar
Watch: here!
Featured Teacher Staple: I’m a huge fan of the comfy cozy look and these black joggers are absolutely amazing. Another seasonal versatile teacher wardrobe essential that is practical and comfortable. I’ve own these with converses, animal print sandals, and booties! My favorite, favorite pair are these Arizita Los Feliz pants but Target’s joggers are a close second. If you don’t have a fun pair of joggers, I highly suggest adding them asap!
—> dress it down: trade the heights for comfort with these laser cut sneakers and this precious little cable!
THURSDAY D E T A I L S
Top: Target | Pants: Old Navy | Shoes: Similar
Featured Teacher Staple: I’ve had this sweatshirt all season and will be pulling it back out in the spring. A cute embroidered sweatshirt goes with everything from leather skirts to joggers. I’ve paired this sweatshirt many ways and each time it feels like it’s the first time wearing it. A New Day at Target just added a couple new embroidered sweatshirts that are more winter themed. The lightness of the sweatshirt is perfect for wearing under vests, dresses, and adding cable scarfs.
—>dress it up: For less than $7 you can add this pleated skirt to make it fun and flirty!
FRIDAY D E T A I L S
Top: Target | Jeans: Gap | Shoes: Target
Featured Teacher Staple: I clearly have a little obsession with Target Fashion… This front tie top is flattering and comfortable. It’s the perfect casual Friday look. Tie’s in the front was another one of those trends that took my eyes a while to get use to. I have a black tie in the front dress and have so much fun wearing it. I’m going to tie the knot in the back and throw on my fuzzy vest to get a different style out of this shirt! It comes in a pale pink that was sold out at my local target. It’s still in stock on-line!
—> dress it up: These pixie’s + these shoes + this bag = Work Chic Perfection
I’m hoping to include other features of my week in my Outfit Round up! I’m debating about: skincare, makeup, and nail polish, jackets and teacher accessories I bring each week, what’s in my lunch bag, and weekly sales. Which addition would you most like to see?
Also, should I include my favorite lesson ideas and activities in my outfit roundup or do a separate post? My goal this break is to create more tpt worthy resources to continue to share for free with all you wonderful readers out there! I would love your ideas and feedback! Send me an e-mail at theteacherdresscode@gmail.com or leave your thoughts in the comments! Can’t wait to hear from you!
