I’ve been selling my clothes on Mercari so I can make it rain spring showers in my closet. I may have already bought three, five, and eleven… I can’t help it! I’m obsessed with all things bright right now. Thankfully pops of bright pink is one of springs hottest trends and makes for a flawless addition to your spring teacher wardrobe.
My closet is stuffed packed of flannel pajamas, oversized sweaters, and earth tone hues. As soon as I open up my weather app and see “Seattle, 5 days in a row with the sunshine emoji” I’m going to be swapping out my closet so fast! I pulled the trigger a little too early on my summer to fall transition.
Speaking of pink-– one of my husbands favorite stories to reminisce about is how I use to hate pink. I personally wouldn’t say I ever hated pink, but I wasn’t a “girly girl” and I didn’t own anything within 10 shades of bubblegum.
It had to have been my sophomore year in college when I was procrastinating on a sociology test and stumbled upon one of my favorite quotes on pinterest.
“I’m going to make everything around me beautiful — that will be my life.” – Elise de Wolfe
If you follow me on pinterest, i’m sure you notice how much I pin cheesy, sentimental, and inspirational quotes… It all started with a couple wise words from good ol’ Elise. I’ve spent a lot of time pondering the different meanings of this quote but it helped push me outside of my comfort zone into a life of creativity and design.
In my pursuit of making everything around me beautiful, I started gravitating towards colors that made me feel optimistic, thus beginning my popping obsession with pink.
The moral of this post: I’m SO EXCITED that POPS OF PINK IS A SPRING TREND. I’m going to be reppin it all spring–summer long!
..and I’m obsessed with all the new spring arrivals I’m seeing on-line. It was so hard to narrow it down to my favorites!
Are you going to be cleaning & clearing your closet to get ready for some new spring pieces, too? What is your favorite way to wear pink? Are you a secret fan of inspirational quotes…? Please say yes… Can’t wait to hear!
