gotouch interactive whiteboard to-go please!

Technology never ceases to amaze me! Who thought the day would come where we could fit an interactive whiteboard into our teacher bag– waiiit, say what!?

Oh yah! It’s true. GoTouch might be one of the coolest teacher inventions ever! As much as I love my smartboard– it only stays in one place… and being a resource room teacher, integrating technology with only one smart board can be super tricky.

GoTouch can turn any TV or projector into an instant interactive whiteboard!

The process is simple! All you do is create an account, download the app, pair the device, set up the projection cap and BOOM! Your interactive whiteboard is ready in minutes!

Being apart of this community has been really eye opening for me in a variety of ways. I didn’t realize that so many classrooms don’t have interactive whiteboards or display systems or student learning. There are numerous articles showing the benefits of using integrative technology, yet the high costs of purchasing and installing such systems isn’t realistic for many of our classrooms.

One of the most common classroom alternatives to interactive whiteboards are installing t.v’s that allow for presentations + other modes of multimedia visuals. That’s where GoTouch becomes so powerful for teachers. It’s turning an already commonly used media system into an interactive way for students to learn + show their learning.

creating a new learning space

Before the snow storm, I brought my 32″ guest room bedrooms t.v. and hooked up my GoTouch. I was able to easily create a new learning space in my resource room… meaning that two different groups at the same time had access to interactive technology. I’m in the process of writing a grant for a 32″ T.V that will allow me to have two digital spaces… fingers are crossed!
