When I get dressed in the mornings I hear my thought bubble bursting with girl… remember you fully teach behavior now… you run, you de-escalate, make the outfit functional… and then I wear wedges, ha. I have to feel good in order to do good work. I would much rather kick off my shoes if I need to then wear something that doesn’t set me up so I can use my calmest, most sincere, de-escalation strategies.
I’m probably going to jink it now but… the days I wear shoes that appear to be easier to run in, I do. Haven’t had to kick off the wedges/heels yet, ha. Massive fingers crossed.

22 years ago this lunch was my FAVORITE SCHOOL LUNCH. When one of my students walked in with it, I couldn’t believe they still made these “beef nuggets” that are filled with teriyaki goodness. It was hard being on free lunch my entire life– i’m not going to lie. It wasn’t even because of the food or the choices available, it was mainly knowing I was on free lunch and I had no choice in what I could eat… it was eat what was given and in front of me… always. I feel really fortunate to have had a school that made and continues to make food that tastes good.

dress: shein (x-small) | shoes: jack rogers (7.5)
These Jack Roger shoes are one of my favorite pair of sneakers. I accidentally forgot to wear socks this day and I’ve only worn them about 4-5 times. The fear of “oh crap, am I going to get blisters” started to kick in. NO BLISTERS AT ALL. My feet felt great by the end of the day.

I managed to keep white pants WHITE… and wore white pants after labor day. Honestly, fashion rules are so silly. I’m a firm believer in wear what you want. Wear whatever makes you feel confident to do the hard work we do every single day.

sweatshirt: amazon (boys size L, lol) –designed with cricut— | jeans: gap (24R) | shoes: converse (7.5, true to size)
The day I graduated from high school I threw away all my high school gear. Never thought I’d be back. Clearly lol… Thankfully I finally learned how to use my cricut and can cut a new boys sweatshirt from amazon for every game. I strangely receive a lot of questions asking if having a cricut is worth it. ABSOUTELY. It is 100% worth every penny. My only regret is not going big. I wish I would have purchased the Cricut Maker. I actually might soon based on how much I’ve been using my air. I’ve made so many things for my classroom, my wardrobe, and football fan items for our team players and items to support their fundraising efforts. I’m so happy to be home.
I’ve been working on creating so many resources as I develop my program and lesson ideas. I’m so excited to get things systematic and structured with a steady flow so I have time to share every thing with you guys. Being back in the classroom is hard but it’s so worth it.
