Holy Moly Guacamole!!! The rain has started to fall, the resource room schedule is blasting, and the kids are keeping me on my toes! I was finally able to wear this drool worthy dress yesterday and before it sells out— I wanted to get a quick post in!
One of my favorite colors to wear during the fall is burgundy– so when I found this lovely sheer layered dress with my favorite fall floral, I knew I had to have this (along with 14 other things… Thanks TJ Maxx… Why you gotta be so cute & cheap!!!) Now that my resource room schedule is in full swing, I’m finding my stamina isn’t what it was during summer school… or the end of last year. I have 14 students, between 2 grade levels, in 7 different classes… all which I provide daily group planning (I don’t use any direct special education instruction) and constant behavior management. To say I’m utterly exhausted is an understatement… adding multiple warm fall dresses to my wardrobe has been the perfect morning savior over the last couple of weeks… As I roll out of bed, overly dry shampoo my hair, and try to get a glass of water in because chances of me drinking any during the day is about 5%.
Especially yesterday… which is when I wore this flowy floral dress for the first time. Yesterday was one of the “Mondiest” Monday’s in the history of all Mondays… Sliver in my foot, beginning stages of a cold, weird jaw pain, and a meeting right in the middle of my 5th grade literacy groups (I have 2 at once…)… I woke up like, “Welp….Today is going to be a day…” and quite the day it was 🙂 I need to get in the routine of planning my outfits the night before… Does anyone do that? Does it work?
It’s 6:30 am… The struggle between finding wife, teacher, blog, self, and friend balance is absolutely crazy… I’m not complaining by any means– I love everything about it! But finding that routine and balance is difficult! I’m starting to feel like I’m on the right track.
I am wearing an x-small and would recommend sizing up! The best part about this dress is it’s under $20.00 and can be styled with tights, bare legs, heels, booties, a jean jacket… There are so many different options! The best part? It kept me pleasantly warm on yesterdays rainy Seattle day… and that says a lot because my classroom is as cold as an igloo!
Any tips on managing work, life, and blogging? I would LOVE to hear!!!
