Cognac is one of my favorite fall footwear colors. Riding boots, suede booties, cowboy boots, strappy sandal heels– you name it. I own it in cognac.
Up until the end of last week, my collection had always been missing a warm autumn pair of cognac flats. When I saw these beauties, I knew it was meant to be. I slipped these cozy little mules on and was in new shoe heaven! I’m counting down the days until the temperature decreases 20 degrees so I can wear them out and about. Not that I needed to break them in, but I’ve been wearing them around the house to see if they are something I would be able to teach in. The answer: yes!
I can’t wait to pair these mules with an over-sized black sweater + olive joggers, distressed skinnies with a cream blouse, and some mustard crops! Is anyone else dying to pull out their sweaters and cognac like me? It rained so much this year that I couldn’t wait for the heat… but high 80’s-low 90’s all summer is a little too hot for this teacher!
I’m not just saying this either– I am fully obsessed with Olive Ave Boutique… Jessica over at The Magnolia Teacher has a couple of their dresses and every time she wears them, I want to know where they are from! puppy update
It’s been 4 days since we’ve welcomed little Buckley home and we couldn’t be more in love. He continues to sleep through the night, go potty outside, and snuggle like non-other! I’ve had a ton of questions about what breed of pup he is. Buckley looks exactly like a German short haired pointer but he’s actually a German wired hair pointer with short hair. If you google German wired hair pointer, no he will not have a full on man bread and mustache at the age of 3 months, haha! One of my really good friends at work has two German wired hair pointers and both her dogs have huge beards– it cracks me up! They are so cute!
Blue is the worlds best big brother. He is about 20 times the size of Buckley (basically Clifford– thanks Rei for that comparison) and all he wants to do is snuggle and play with his little brother. He will just stand still with a toy in his mouth and Buckley’s energy is on full blast trying to get it out. I think the most devastating thing about having our new family member is Blue no longer sleeps on the ground next to me. Instead, he’s snuggled over next to his little brother’s crate all night.
I was so nervous to have two puppies but it’s honestly turning out to be one of the best decisions Nick and I have ever made. There is so much love brewing in our house hold right now! If only I could take him back-to-school with me in a couple weeks. A teacher can dream right? 🙂 Time to go play with my little nuggets!
