But really… my classroom is right next to the boys bathroom. In the midst of some splashing and screaming, our school SLP and I made eye contact because we popped our heads out at the very same time. She’s right next to the girls and I’m right next to the boys. I probably check-in on the boys bathroom 8 times a day. Sometimes you just gotta do, what you gotta do!
Like invest in a fun mid-length pleated skirt this fall! Pleated skirts rocked the runway this year at New York Fashion week but I’ve heard rock your lessons even more 😉
I’m 5’2 and midi’s and I have a love hate relationship. Oh midi? You mean maxi?… #StoryOfAShortPersonsLife. This length is perfect for teaching. Over the years I have spent loads of money on cute skirts that stay captive in my closet. If they aren’t pencil, they are usually too short. Even some of the paper-bag skirts from J.crew– I put on, love, but feel like it’s too short for up-downs all day.
Target is coming in hot with this bright and fall-y, perfectly midi-length skirt from A New Day. It’s true to size and great quality. The best part about the pleated midi trend is there are endless opportunities to wear them: the average day in the classroom, weekday happy hour with your bestie, holiday parties, and events for friends.
I have a fun gray and silver sweatshirt I can’t wait to pair with this skirt!
In books news, I’ve been reading Brave Teaching by Krissy Poztek and am having to force myself to put it down. I’ll be doing a review on it later but for the meantime, you can check-it out by clicking here!
