For some of us it may be too early to start talking about back-to-school things– I totally get it… However, this year, I am not one of those teachers š It’s hard enough to contain my excitement about my classroom next year and even harder to contain my excitement about back-to-school shopping. I’ve missed it. Two years is too long… but sometimes that’s what advocacy and healing takes.
Every time one of our community members or a brand reaches out to me, I’ve realized how much my mindset has changed since every thing has happened. Having this community and these opportunities again is a reminder that adversity can be overcome and I’m back to doing what I love. Thank you all so much for being apart of that journey.
And a special shout out to Frankie4 for being my first overseas collaboration, although a huge congratulations to them because they just launched their line in the states. Every one and every thing starts with an idea and being able to support a brand while they continue to turn their dream into a reality is pretty awesome.
With that being said– the first couple of weeks of school this upcoming year I’m totally going to be rocking sneakers. While I continue to get to know my new students, it is a self-contained behavior program, and while I’ve worked a lot with them already… I definitely need to prepare for an adventure š Leading me to fall in love with Frankie4’s braided sneakers and all the other pretty little textured sneaks out there!
top: h&m (xx-small) – only $12.99! | jeans: gap (24p) I have two pairs of these incase I stain them… that’s how much I love the fit + quality | shoes: frankie4 (7.5) | lipstick: luxe lip palette
The ratio of flats and chunky wedges/heels to sneakers is significantly disproportionate. I’m excited to spend some of my summer nights searching the internet for quality sneakers and adding them to my teacher wardrobe. I’m lovin’ how easy they seem to pair with dresses, dress pants, jeans, and shorts! Are you allowed to wear nice sneakers if you work in a school that has a more professional dress code?
Here are a few of my favorite current textured sneaker finds! Happy shopping + relaxing!
