I think it’s about time I start my Christmas shopping… Is there anyone else out there who hasn’t started yet? I’ve seen so many snaps and read multiple posts about people being fully done– you all are amazing! I’m going to compile my final list tomorrow. Wooh! Part 4 out of 5 of my Holiday Teacher Gift Guide series is officially live! I’m not going to lie, I re-did this one about 10 times because there are so many cute and comfy gift ideas out there. Speaking of being comfy.
Every time a long break comes around, I find myself in a constant state of uncertainty about my excitement. On one hand, I am thrilled to wear a pony tail all day, lounge around in velvet pajamas, and watch movies that have been on my to-do list for the last 8 months. On the other hand, I know breaks longer than 4 days are tremendously hard on the majority of my students. That might be biggest area of teacher guilt for me is simply being ecstatic but knowing that they aren’t. Does anyone else find themselves in this dilemma? My favorite way to combat this guilt is by making my students little snack packs before breaks. I will usually go to costco and load up on healthy goodies, write a little “I can’t wait to see you when we are back” note, and put it all together. I love doing this because it’s something that I can control. Even if it’s not much, I feel like it helps all of us. If you’re interested, thankyoutags 🙂
Woohoo! Gift guide #4! I love everything on this list and I wish there was enough time in the day to share my love for all of them. This season is all about those chenille sweaters and GUESS WHAT? They make chenille blankets! #10 is an absolute Christmas list must have! I tried to pick it up at Target this evening but they were sold out at the store I was at. I can stop wearing my chenille sweaters– i can only imagine how dreamy this blanket it.
My teacher tired eyes have stollen my outfit spotlight every single day for the last month. I was chatting with Kelli from Sanders In Second about our tired teachers eyes. We are both testing out the Peter Thomas Roth gel eye patches and when I was shopping today I picked up a couple other ones as well. These bright eyes have awesome reviews and this gift set is just too cute! AND the perfect gift if you keep looking in the mirror and thinking santa has brought me bags of coal and put them under my eyes. That might be a little dramatic but… It’s that time of year 🙂
Lastly, i’m pajama obsessed and those joggers are exceptionally soft and cozy. I’m pretty basic when it comes to my sweat pants–shades of gray and some black but I adore this shade of blue. I’m really hoping everyone gets me a ton of lounge wear this Christmas because that’s all I want to do if I’m not teaching! I don’t know if that’s what happens when you turn 27? Maybe when you’re in your third year teaching? All I know is the couch, my popcorn bowl, and my comfy cozy clothes are my daily bffs.
