Today is a GREAT day because Nordstrom’s anniversary sale is OFFICIALLY open to ALL!

Summer is going by way to fast. I can’t believe I just finished week 2 of summer school!

This summer I decided to take my work e-mail off my phone– even though I’m teaching summer school. This morning I saw meeting invites from my principal. Realizing I don’t actually get the entire month of August off hit me like a bag of bricks. My heart is bruised. Thankfully my team member and I will be sitting down next week to go over caseloads for next year.

Since the majority of students on my caseload were 5th graders, it’s been hard to plan and get ready not knowing which students or grade levels i’m going to be working with.

I honestly don’t buy much from Nordstrom during the school year. It’s great quality but a little out of my price bracket. The anniversary sale is perfect to invest in some of the nicer pieces you will be using/wearing year long.

These are my favorite teacher-budget friendly picks that are ALL under $50! I mean, a pair of Nordstrom jeans for under $30? SAY WHAT? Those blush chucks too…

I’m a child when it comes to back-to-school teacher shopping. I legitimately put everything in a special place in my closet and won’t touch it until the first day of school. It’s one of those social constructs that is fully engrained in my soul. If you do back-to-school shopping, do you store away or bring the pieces out to play? Ha… I’ve clearly been reading a lot of picture books this summer.
