One of my first graders continuously called me out last week for forgetting basically everything. He finally asked me why. My response? My brain has too many tabs open… duh! I’m proud of myself for setting my alarm the night before and remembering to brush my teeth before I leave. How can a 7 year old expect me to remember that during our morning transition he told me at 9:30 he would like 2 oreo’s for snack… so 9:30 comes around and I’m teaching a decoding group and he’s all, “Ummm. Mrs. Boston… are you forgetting something?” lol… probably… most likely… always… YES. YES. and YES! I am! Students (inserts laughing emoji!)
It’s spring break time and I’m already self declaring myself the ultimate homebody. I am going to make it out of the house to meet up with some of my teacher besties, but besides that… it’s going to be lots of blog writing, self-learning, self-discovery, and CLEANING… My goal for spring break is cleaning out my closet… It’s one of those chores I am avoiding.
Oh… and laundry… and shopping… and self-care… all the things that I’ve neglected the last two weeks.
