I was so busy last week that it didn’t even cross my mind I didn’t do a spring teacher outfit post. I was out of the classroom 3/5 days last week. Great! I’ll have a lot of time to blog. INCORRECT. Who knew professional development could be so positively draining? Well… that and a mixture of trying to update my spring wardrobe… I’ve spent a lot of time on-line shopping the last couple of weeks….. I am definitely lacking in the spring dresses department.

The last couple of weeks I’ve been under a lot of stress at work. On Wednesday when I sat down in my chair, I had an internal debate with myself, “Do I actually know what I’m doing?” It’s definitely that time of year 🙂
But then again, I actually have no idea what I’m doing. Does anyone else ever feel like a robot when they’re teaching? I feel like that might be the stress talking, or the lack of coffee throughout the day, but either way… I’ve been having these moments where I catch myself from falling into the deep, dark power struggles.
And catching myself speaking, pausing, and thinking what the ffffff was I just saying? I don’t even know sometimes. The point of my ramble? It’s all normal!
If you are feeling like you’re losing your cool, you probably are and that’s okay 🙂
A strategy that’s been helping me decompress at the end of each night is journaling. Fashion journaling, goal journaling, writing the letter b 5702 times journaling! Now that I’m in a routine, I’m starting to notice the benefits.
Ah! Well! There’s nothing like a late assignment 🙂 Here’s to getting back on my blogging schedule and lesson planning… and sanity 🙂
