It’s so hard for me to take sick days… even when I’m incredibly sick. It was 9:30 at the beautiful at one of my best friends wedding reception when I felt the sore throat come on. Sunday and Monday = 38 hours of sleep. Tuesday came around and I was feeling SOOO much better. I usually wouldn’t have let myself rest, but lesson learned… always let your body rest. I recovered so much faster from this cold than ever before. I still have a slight cough and a still stuffed nose… but it didn’t get near as bad as they usually do. Self-care is important!

I apparently wore a lot of Old Navy this week, ha! Also, i’m killing my plants and not one of those “everything in the entire classroom matches” teachers… The fact that I have a writers cafe that decently coordinates is huge progress in my classroom decor journey.

Pictures with the majority of natural light mask my tired teacher eyes… why is it fluorescent light makes it look like eyebags are full of groceries and the bag is about to rip out of the bottom because there are so many cans of spaghetti o’s stuffed in? Idk… any guesses or actual science?

My schools mascot is a jaguar… so when ____ asked what I wanted on a personalized pair of these amazing and unique shoes… I had to add to my jag swag collection! I am SOOOOOO obsessed and happy with how these shoes turned out. @lifebymisstoto is so creative and has such a talent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Right now she’s donating all proceeds to wemake.works
I’ve been receiving a lot of questions about lesson planning and what I actually teach each day… I’ll be working on sharing more resources in my teacher resource section and adding some blog posts that incorporate instruction and ideas.
