And just like that we’re already in November! I’m not going to lie… November 1st was an emotional day for a couple of different reasons. 1) It’s November and I’m still not teaching yet 2) I’m turning 29 this month which means… 3) I pulled a muscle in my neck, followed by aching ribs and realized “geez… this is what my mom has been complaining about my entire life, ha” I’m getting there though! Slowly, but surely. I’m ready for all of this to be over so I can share my journey and share what I’ve learned throughout this crazy experience. I’ve had a lot of hard days lately, but I know this is serving some greater purpose in my life even if I’m not sure what that is… and for that I’m thankful.
Text I just sent my husband: should we host Thanksgiving this year? Hopefully I have the answer by the time I’m finished writing this post. We typically go to my husbands parents and enjoy the company of his older brother, aunts, and uncles. It might be nice for us to take the preparation and hosting responsibilities this year 🙂 We shall see!
I love browsing social media on Thanksgiving because every family has different traditions and experiences. For years, my husband and I would travel 5 hours into the Blue Mountains in Oregon for a minimal technology, into the wilderness Thanksgiving experience at their families cabin. That Thanksgiving called for a large weekender bag and a 3 pair of leggings with a puffy and snow boots. Now-a-days a festive fall pair of pants and sweater will do.
Depending on the tradition, outfit decisions can range from yoga pants to a fall formal mini! Maybe even a swimsuit and coverup depending on where you are 😉 As I was shopping for my Thanksgiving outfit (and Christmas card outfit), I put together a Thanksgiving outfit idea guide for those of you who are struggling to decide (or just want a new outfit) for the Thanksgiving holiday!
